Joe Bloggs Boys Clothing Enters The Fast Lane

Manchester, UK (PRWEB) December 18, 2009

Joe Bloggs is racing ahead of the competition in it’s support of young racing talent and sponsoring the 28th annual Autosport Awards, taking place on 6 December at a glittering ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

The awards are a highlight in the motor racing calendar and six of Britain’s leading young drivers will be in the running to walk away with the most prestigious prize in national motor racing, including £50,000 and a test in a McLaren-Mercedes F1 car.

The awards are voted for by readers of the magazine and attended by the stars and legends of the motorsport world.

Joe Bloggs, who specialise in street-style boys clothing for boys aged 7-16, has a strong precedent of supporting young drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, who was sponsored by the company when he was just 11 years of age and held the tile of British Karting champion.

The rise of Hamilton and Button has resulted in a surge in the popularity of motorsports in general, with more young people taking part across all disciplines including rallying, karting, sprinting and circuit racing.

Due to the huge demand from young racing fans, Joe Bloggs plans to strengthen its involvement in this arena by developing a new range of motorsport inspired clothing to be launched in summer 2010.

Kashif Ahmed, managing director at Joe Bloggs comments: “It’s probably the most exciting time for motor sports in Britain’s history and having already supported Lewis Hamilton, it felt like the perfect time to build on Joe Bloggs’ connection in this arena.

“Linking with the Autosport awards is just the beginning of this process and we’ve got much more coming up in 2010, including a new fashion range inspired by the sport, which will include boys hoodies and t-shirts”

Fashion, a general term for the style and custom prevalent at a given time, in its most common usage refers to costume or clothing style. The more technical term, costume, has become so linked in the public eye with the term "fashion" that the more general term "costume" has in popular use mostly been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while the term "fashion" means clothing generally, and the study of it. This linguistic switch is due to the fashion plates which were produced during the Industrial Revolution, showing the latest designs.[citation needed] For a broad cross-cultural look at clothing and its place in society, refer to the entries for clothing, costume and fabrics. The remainder of this article deals with clothing fashions in the Western world.
